Guillermo Restrepo

Guillermo Restrepo was born in Bogota, Colombia, where he studied chemistry and obtained a MSc in chemistry. He is Dr. rer. nat. from the Universität Bayreuth (Germany) and is currently researcher of the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (Germany). He is fellow from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, elected member of the International Academy of Mathematical Chemistry and member of the editorial board of Hyle -- International Journal for Philosophy of Chemistry. He is the 2020 recipient of the Gmelin–Beilstein Denkmünze of the German Chemical Society. His research interests are mathematical chemistry and history and philosophy of chemistry.
