Niklas Arvidsson

I am Associate Professor in Industrial Dynamics at the School of Industrial Engineering and Management at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. My background is not in engineering, however. I have a Ph.D. in International Business from the Stockholm School of Economics (1999) and a MBA in Finance from the Stockholm School of Economics (1991). I have been working at the Royal Institute of Technology since 2007 and been focusing on innovation - primarily in the payment system - and organizational change - mainly related to project organization - since then.

I strive to combine genuine academic research with practical experience and application. I am published in journals as Organization Science, Management Science, Scandinavian Journal of Management and Innovation: Management, Policy and Practice, but also published books in cooperation with Cambridge University Press, John Wiley & Sons, Earthscan and Oxford University Press. I also have extensive experience as a consultant and is associated with NormannPartners.
