Sheralynn's first memorable writing experience was being assigned to outline the encyclopedia when she was in fifth grade so that the teacher could deal with the "less capable" students?!! Obviously, not a task designed to encourage creativity, nevertheless it was the beginning of her love of putting pen to paper. She has written three books, the first published in December of 2015, "The Crone's List" with the second two to follow in the next six months. All focus on relationships: the living of them, the making of them, and the nurturing of them. Sheralynn believes relationships are the only important thing in life.
Ms. Ries was born in Montana and as a child she lived on the plains where the wind never stopped blowing but the sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. As an adult she lived in a valley on the western side of the state filled with trees, mountains, rivers, wildlife and surprisingly, plenty of people. Montana was and is a good place and it colors her psyche, presence, voice inflection and story-telling.These days she lives less than one mile from the Pentagon and about the same distance from the Lincoln Memorial. She considers herself a wise older woman winding her way through life and trying to do it with whatever dignity, aplomb and panache she can muster. She has voluntarily labelled herself as a Crone in spite of strenuous objections by some of her friends.
