H. B. Durward

H.B. sprung from the South and landed in the the Pacific Northwest. God knows how. He finds his home beautiful in a heartbreaking sort of way. Especially in December. The shorter days of winter make things like: rising before nine, being nice to people, and bathing regularly, extremely difficult.

When H.B. was twelve he was sure he wanted to be an artist. But, life just isn't that simple is it? The biological imperative compelled him to produce children. They nearly consumed him. But as they fumble closer to the edge of the nest, it seems he might have the freedom to indulge himself in other creations. Like writing and drawing.
