I am a special education educator and also a parent of someone with a severe disability .. I am a UC Davis grad and received a secondary English credential and got my special education education credential from San Diego State university .. I have 37 years of experience teaching including serving on a developmental disabilities regional center board , co founding the tsalliance , and volunteerism with girls scouts , day camps and special Olympics to increase awareness of disabilities . I often mentored new teachers to special education and found that working with parents was an area where many needed more information . I hope this book will be a helpful and realistic tool for anyone working with children with special needs to understand their parents.

It is a short practical help to improve classroom communication and understanding of parents .. Helpful for ieps and as an inservice tool
