I was born in Seattle, WA, spent a fabulous childhood on a farm in Hobart near Maple Valley, and currently live in Auburn, WA with my husband and two sons. It is an undeniable truth, that less writing occurs when my large garden and yard beckons me from spring to autumn. In the summer, each and every morning I check on my colorful dahlias to see what I can give away to friends and neighbors. I love making homemade cold process soap, taking walks, cooking, and baking. I adore watching old black and white feel-good movies, and will watch anything Jane Austen. Other hobbies include amateur photography and genealogy.
I owe my past occupations and the people who came with them many thanks. My grandmother used to say, "This too shall pass." Jobs, people and circumstances did pass throughout my life which has become a great resource for character material.
Depending upon the Pacific Northwest weather, weekends are spent exploring the seashore, beaches, mountains, hills and dales, or just staying indoors enjoying each other's company with a movie and a big bowl of popcorn. And when autumn's rain ushers me indoors, and winter's damp chill keeps me in, I bow and curtsey to my characters as we resume our friendship once more.
In spring of 2016, a modern romance is expected to be released, and two more historical romance novels are in the works.
