Tom Weidig graduated from Imperial London in theoretical physics and was a post-doctoral researcher at Manchester and Trinity College, Cambridge. He has since worked as an expert in risk modelling for the finance, insurance, and venture capital industry and obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst charter. He was also chair of the research committee of the British Stammering Association, studied neuropsychology and biological psychology at the Open University, and has interacted with scientists, clinicians, and patients patients alike.
In his book "A snapshot of the human system" (Website: bps2.com), Dr Weidig has reflected on the biopsychosocial nature of humans for a decade while blogging for the leading blog on the science and treatment of stuttering: TheStutteringBrain. How can we understand a multi-dimensional and multi-disciplinary disorder from genetics to social stigma (or humans in general) holistically without being unscientific and ignoring psychosocial aspects?
He is currently working on a startup called Mindool which makes structured collaboration for large groups possible.
