Edward Bottomley

Edward Bottomley, a Yorkshireman from northern England, at a late stage in life, became a writer. Previously, his career spanned accountancy, executive recruitment and photography.

From the age of seventeen he sought meaning and truth in life, searching for richness of mind and satisfaction. In 1987, aged forty five, he cycled solo across the US for charity. This unique journey changed his life and resulted in his moving to Texas and subsequently, in 1999, to Sierra Vista, Arizona. In the spring of 2016 he published Bolo Spirit - the story of 3,247 mile bike ride. He has been active in Rotary International and is currently an honorary member of two Rotary clubs - Sierra Vista, Arizona and Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico.

Always ambitious, 'Beckoning - Poetry of Life' was the start of a body of work about life. Largely non-fiction, it is the skeleton on which he will build a series of six fictional philosophical novels. The first, Entirosphere, was published via CreateSpace and Amazon in December 2016. The subject is birth and origins - of the cosmos, a person and a business. He is now actively preparing to start writing his second novel. It will continue further into a fictional exploration of life and focus on the continuing lives of many of the characters featuring in Entirosphere.
