Very excited to launch a revised version of 'The Fairy House' (first published by Hogs Back Books in 2016) - now with words and new illustrations - as an e-book on Amazon.

I use watercolour to create imagined characters and environments and love to include domestic details that differ slightly from the those we'd recognise in our own homes - for example the things we use at meal times or the places we sleep. You can find examples of these in both versions of my children's picture book.

Although I also work digitally, I prefer the directness & freedom of working with traditional media, particularly when illustrating a story. Wielding a digital Wakom pen is exciting, opening up all sorts of new possibilities, but it still doesn't match working with materials you can touch - water, paint, and paper you can hold in your hand (and scrunch up and hurl into a bin if an illustration isn't working - much more satisfying than clicking on 'delete').

I've worked as an artist, illustrator, and storyboard artist for over 25 years, creating work for a wide range of clients who are not just in publishing but also from the worlds of advertising, film & video, and editorial.
