Caroline Abbott

Ms. Abbott writes about emotional abuse because she was abused as a child and also in her first marriage. She wrote her first book, A Journey through Emotional Abuse: From Bondage to Freedom to help others who were suffering in abusive marriages. As she helped these women leave their abusers, she realized they were struggling with their healing process, so she wrote her second book, A Journey to Healing After Emotional Abuse.

Caroline enjoyed writing fiction as a young girl, but chose a technical degree in college. She worked in the business field until she had children, when she decided to stay home to raise them full-time. She became a Christian soon afterward. When her marriage became emotionally abusive, she did her best to keep the marriage together, but finally had to seek a divorce for her protection.

Caroline is remarried. She and her husband have seven children and several grandchildren. They are passionate about their church, overseas missions and the fight against human trafficking. They enjoy bike riding and traveling together. Ms. Abbott is also an accomplished painter. She enjoys cross stitching and knitting. One of her greatest joys is helping abuse victims escape from their abusers, and then walking with them through their healing process.
