IMAGINATION - S-T-R-E-T-C-H
Once upon a time, as all good stories start, people sat, huddled round the fire that gave them warmth and safety. They kept the dark night and cries of wild animals at bay by telling stories. There were no streamed films, no DVDs, no colour pictures to ensure the imaginations of children all around the world were regimented and aligned.
Of course, the amazing video content available these days is a huge asset, and today’s children can benefit enormously from it. But, it’s also a common human failing to push everything to the limit (as every parent knows) and today’s tsunami of video options needs to be balanced by times when children are encouraged to grow their own imagination.
The books in our series are designed to give you the tools to help your child do that - to put their own images to the stories, without being influenced by someone else’s ideas.
You can visit us at www.everopenstorybook.com - sign up to our newsletter, and be invited to the private group on our, Ever Open Story Book, Facebook page, where we like you to post your children’s pictures of scenes and characters from the stories.
So far, the series consists of -
