Amy Kritzer

Amy Kritzer is a writer, recipe developer, cooking teacher and founder of the cooking blog What Jew Wanna Eat. What Jew Wanna Eat provides traditional Jewish recipes with a modern twist in ingredients and style. Amy got her start cooking tasty Jewish treats with her Bubbe in a small Connecticut town. Whether braiding a challah or making homemade crepes into blintzes, some of her favorite memories were gossiping with Bubbe as they served delicious food to the family. After a stint in New York City as a conference producer, she moved to Austin, TX in 2009 to escape cold weather, only to discover her love of queso and country music. Soon after moving, Amy left the business world to attend Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School to hone her cooking skills and work on her passion. She now works in the culinary field full time. Her work has been featured in numerous publications and websites including The Today Show blog “Bites” and Bon Appetit. In her spare time, Amy enjoys crafts, theme parties and cowboys.
