John H Winkelman

John Winkelman lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he is active in the West Michigan literary community and genre fiction fandom.

He grew up in Springport, Michigan, and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend college at Grand Valley State University, from which he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993.

From 2015 to 2019 he was a director for Caffeinated Press and the managing editor of The 3288 Review literary journal.

Winkelman's work has been published or is forthcoming in Coffin Bell, Portage Magazine, and the anthologies Brewed Awakenings I and Jot That Down! He is a volunteer and occasional panelist at the ConFusion fantasy and science fiction convention.

Outside of the publishing world, he is an instructor of tai chi and praying mantis kung fu under the tutelage of Master Yen Hoa Lee.

Winkelman works as a web and mobile developer to pay the bills.
