Mary-Kathryn Clark

Mary-Kathryn Clark strives to give her best effort in every area of her life. Whether it is volunteering for the community or practicing one of her hobbies, she involves herself in a wide variety of different activities. Although Mary-Kathryn's rigorous schoolwork binds her time, she always manages to keep her other priorities in tact as well.

Year-round, Mary-Kathryn volunteers at Zoo Atlanta. She has been in Zoo Atlanta's Volunteen program all of high school, working at fulfilling a required 200 service hours yearly to remain in the program. In addition to participating in this program, the summer before her twelfth grade year she also participated in the Emory University Hospital Volunteen program.

While service is a big part of Mary-Kathryn's life, she also enjoys playing tennis on and off throughout the year. Additionally, she has taught herself guitar, learning through books she found in stores and occasionally online videos. She engages in these hobbies recreationally and they have become an important outlet in her life.

At school Mary-Kathryn is an active participant in different organizations and honors such as Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, and Beta Club. She received the Georgia Certificate of Merit, awarded to students in the top 5% of their class. Mary-Kathryn also has been in Journalism Yearbook since she started high school and served as copy editor her junior year and section manager/editor her senior year.

As college is quickly approaching for Mary-Kathryn, she looks forward to new opportunities and, based on her passions and strongest skills, aspires to pursue business, engineering, or medicine.
