Charles Millson

Charles Millson grew up in the American south. He spent most of his life as a teacher, minister, and advocate in western and middle Tennessee. After teaching in the Memphis area for over a decade, Millson turned his attention and talents to ministry in Romania and Costa Rica. His first book, Pastures of Tender Grass, looks at the lives of King David and King Solomon through the eyes of Mephibosheth, the son of David's friend, Jonathan. His second book is Runaway: A Story of Hagar, in which Millson recreates the culture and events of the life of this minor but important Biblical character. His latest Bible-based fiction is The Jezebel Diaries, a look at how two couples face major changes in their lives. Using his blog, The Rest of The Story, he selected 99 of his favorite history tales and compiled them into REVEAL, short stories told from a different perspective. Currently, he is semi-retired and lives abroad. Every few weeks, he is a contributor to the New York Times weekly history quiz, Flashback.
