James R. Muri

Jim Muri grew up as an Air Force brat, attending many different schools in three different countries before high school. He attended two of those high schools in different states. Such was the nature of Air Force life at that time, a life of many transfers, much travel and assignments. He attended college in Southern California at Riverside City College, then both Cal State Fullerton and eventually USC by extension, getting his master's in Systems Management from them. He served in the US Army as both an enlisted medic in Viet Nam and later as an artillery officer in the US, Europe, and Korea. He eventually found his way into Boeing, where he provided business process analytical services to a variety of internal organizations. He currently resides in the Pacific Northwest where he sails, writes, and pursues a number of other hobbies. He is married and has four children and five grandchildren (soon to be six.) He joined the Mars Society back when it was still in existence, and American Mensa. Other affiliations have to do mostly with yacht clubs, local trivia games, hardware stores, and yard tools.
