Robert W. Craven

Robert Craven did his undergraduate education at the US Air Force Academy to become an astronaut. Failing the eye exam before graduation, and no longer qualified for the astronaut program, he decided to become a medical doctor. After graduating from medical school he did his residency to become an Ear, Nose, and Throat surgeon and is currently in private practice on the beautiful North Olympic Peninsula in Washington state. He has done medical mission trips to Nepal and Bhutan as well as many others to China and Mexico. On one such trip to Nepal, he and his sons were almost killed by Maoist guerrillas in a city wide riot in Kathmandu. As a physician he has delivered crying babies, done major surgeries, and walked families through the loss of those they love. He has seen much of the human experience. His hope in his writing is that each person will come to a greater understanding of the value God places on each human soul and the lengths He will go to save them.
