Stephanie M Jandreau

Stephanie M. Jandreau is married and is the mother of three children. She started writing Milican’s story in March of 2010 as a favor to her eldest son who lives in Hollywood, CA. He asked her to write a short fifteen-page screenplay to enter the 48 Hour LA Film Project: Los Angeles. When he called back a week later, she had written over sixty pages to which he responded, “Mom, just finish your book.” She laughed, “I’m not writing a book.” “Yes, you are.” And with that, Stephanie’s passion for writing was born. She started in earnest doing research and fleshing out her characters. During the process, she fell in love them, their journey, and they took on a life of their own. She pushed beyond her bounds, overcoming the struggles of dyslexia as she chronicled Milican’s journey through the decades. Amethyst is just the beginning of The Platinum Series.

After the publication of the first book, Amethyst in October 2015, Stephanie went to work on the second manuscript in The Platinum Series: Garnet. She hopes to release Garnet in the fall of 2016.
