Peter Langdon Ward Ph.D

Peter Langdon Ward is an earth scientist who climbed his first active volcano at age 19. He worked 27 years with the United States Geological Survey studying volcanoes and other natural hazards in Iceland, Alaska, Washington, California, Hawaii, and throughout Central America. He won the Public Affairs Award from the Secretary of the Interior and the highest award of the Association of Government Communicators for excellence in communicating science to the general public.
