I cannot list my novels..."Will's War" is my first.

I cannot list my awards...I have none.

But I can show you War, our American War,

And leave you to decide if it is your war as well.

Will traveled from 21st century Connecticut to Virginia in 1861 and went back and forth until April of 1865 when the Civil War ended. I couldn't travel as he did, but, yet, I also traveled through the War in Virginia. I read letters and diaries and listened to stories. I heard the voices of soldiers. I walked in battlefields and saw blood on the ground. I felt pain, but I also heard music.

Will was a boy when he began his travels.

He became a man after they ended.

He will travel again.

And so will I.
