Candace Kearns Read

Candace Kearns Read worked at the talent and literary agencies ICM and WME in Los Angeles for many years as a story analyst. She was a script reader for A-list actors including Anthony Hopkins, Marlon Brando, Michelle Pfeiffer, Mel Gibson, and Nicolas Cage, as well as John Wells Productions, Castle Rock Productions, and Village Roadshow Pictures. She has written many screenplays, several of which have been optioned by producers and developed with Fox, Disney, HBO and Lifetime. She attained a BFA in Dramatic Writing from New York University and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Antioch University Los Angeles. She now lives in Colorado and writes nonfiction books for Scribe media and supports film and television industry professionals with their projects. She also teaches writing at Denver Center for Performing Arts and Lighthouse Literary Arts Center.
