R. H. Parr

Rosemary Parr was born and brought up in Plymouth, England and graduated from Cambridge University (Churchill College) with a double first in history and law. After training in the City of London with a leading law firm she qualified as a solicitor and has spent thirty-five years working as a company/commercial lawyer, a general practitioner and since 2002 as a charity law specialist, advising her clients on a wide range of problems.

She has maintained her interest in history and biography, reading widely. Her first book 'A Shy and Simple Warrior' was written in response to a family bereavement which spurred her, as a means of coping, to explore the extraordinary life of her unknown grandfather, whose service in the Royal Navy was determined by a half-century of turbulent British and international history.
