A "Jersey girl" at heart, Candace T. Botha began her writing career working for Scholastic, Inc., in New York City, serving as the associate editor of Co-Ed Magazine and Forecast for Home Economics.
Following the birth of her two daughters, she was one of the top freelance writers for The Star-Ledger, writing feature articles for the special sections of one of New Jersey's largest newspapers, while continuing to work freelance with Scholastic, Inc.
During a career that has spanned 47 years, she has served as the publisher, associate publisher, editor and editorial director of numerous regional publications, including Montage magazine (which she founded), ITCA Today, Morris County Golfer, Pathways, Sussex County Magazine and Northern Horizons, all published in the state of New Jersey.
Botha also is the founder and publisher of Suncoast Pet magazine, an award-winning publication for pet owners in Southwest Florida that was voted "Best Local Pet Publication" two years in a row by area pet owners.
