His own first collection, Seven Eleven Forgotten and Other Stories, spurred the "convenience store fiction” concept.

His latest work is an award-winning novel entitled Misfortunes of T-Funk. Part 1 of a series, it covers the lives of two struggling musicians, and breathes close to the author’s heart and experience.

He lives in Taos, New Mexico with his wife, Sarah, and various children and animals on a come as they may basis.
