Frederick Schneider

Frederick Schneider grew up in the 1950s and 1960s in the Bronx, New York neighborhood named for its primary feature, the High Bridge, which crosses the Harlem River and connects the Bronx with Manhattan. Mr. Schneider has been an illustrator, graphic designer, art director, and educator teaching at art colleges in New York and Boston. He and his wife Karen, live in Washington Heights not far from the High Bridge and like the Highbridge Boys of his novel, he still walks the bridge and plays pool for the challenge and love of the game.
