Marilyn Stewart

Marilyn was a TCK (third culture kid). Her home was 165 miles from the closest town, shared with the most primitive of nomadic, indigenous people (Aborigines) in Western Australia. Marilyn absorbed the aboriginal culture as her own. Bare feet and hunting for her snacks in the bush was a given, and Wangatha was her primary language. She left the outback at twelve, adjusting to wearing shoes, speaking English, going to boarding school, and experiencing cold and snow in Alberta, Canada.

Ms. Stewart has lived in two foster homes, three states, and three countries. She enjoys traveling and reading, and lives in Mesa, Arizona, with her husband, John. Both are dog lovers and have shared their home with six Pomeranians over the years.
