Peter Williams

Thank you for taking an interest in me and my work. I'd like to take this opportunity to tell you a little more about me as a person. My name is Peter Williams and I am a British artist and writer, working from my small studio on the Suffolk coast where I live with my long term partner Jenny and a selection of big dogs.

I've had a varied and interesting life during which I've worked at many and diverse occupations such as soldier in the British army, college tutor, lorry driver, computer analyst and milkman to name a few. During these times there was always a thread of creativity running in parallel, though often suppressed unless rare opportunities presented themselves. Now I feel privileged and grateful to be able to finally make my living from something I enjoy so much, to exploit my creative instincts full time is a dream come true.

I am constantly surprised and delighted that so many individuals appreciate my paintings, drawings and books. The ideas and subject matter I use for both are born from my passion for wildlife, both British and the more exotic, combined with scenes inspired by people and places which have influenced me throughout my life.
