Lynn R. Wilson

Lynn R. Wilson was an "Army Brat"- her father was in the Army for 21 years. She, her sister and two brothers all grew up watching their parents entertain so Lynn came by her love of entertaining through them. Her husband, Bob Wilson, was in the Army for 38 years. They were blessed with many exciting tours in Germany, Hawaii, Cairo, Egypt and various continental U.S. assignments. Every place they went Lynn would pick up party ideas and recipes as they entertained with people in their units and their neighbors. Military life could be very stressful with frequent moves and deployments but it also offered a rare opportunity to build friendships that last a lifetime and they built those friendships through the social life that was so special in the military. That is what inspired Lynn to write an entertainment cookbook so many years ago. She wanted to ensure that entertaining continued to be an important part of the lives of her friends and people in their units. The greatest compliment that Lynn can get is for someone to come up to her years later and say, "I remember the Secret Valentine party you did back at Fort Riley". She gets that all the time and it ensures her that she had made a difference and hopefully they went on and continued the tradition and had a similar party. Lynn and Bob have two children and six grandchildren. They spend their time between their homes in The Woodlands, TX and Lillian, AL
