IT WAS AN AMAZING YEAR

Denny completed a 4,200 mile coast-to-coast bicycle ride, from his Seattle home to Boston. And he completed a five year quest to discover Managing Genius.

REAL EXPERIENCE

Denny has 20+ years working as an HR Leader in Fortune 100 companies and technology startups in Seattle. He was HR Director for a startup software group and HR Manager for a unionized pulp and paper mill. He has worked in the trenches with senior executives, group directors, senior managers, and front-line managers. He has first-hand knowledge and understanding of how the business enterprise works. Been there, done that.

He has hands-on experience building and managing organizations, and expertise in all areas HR. Masters in HR from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota.

FIRST CAREER: ENGINEERING

Denny's first career was in engineering and operations. Undergraduate in Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Masters of Engineering from the University of Minnesota.

FIRST JOB MANAGING PEOPLE

Drilling and Blasting Crew Leader at an open pit mining operation in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. College kid learns the realities of managing real people doing real work.
