According to Wendy Harmer’s account of Down-Under comedy, Therese is one of “Australia’s Funny Women”. She’s also imaginative and prolific, having written stand-up comedy and comedy revue, short films and stories, award-winning monologues, one-act plays, and a sea lion panto for a marine park.
She is an emerging West Australian writer and teller of fanciful tales who has had her short stories and monologues published in Australia, the UK and the US; has won the Maj Monologues Judge’s Prize as well as twice winning their People’s Choice Award; her first short film script, ‘Too Soon’, was invited to screen at the prestigious Dungog Film Festival; she won the inaugural Shorelines Writing for Performance Festival, her draft screenplay was shortlisted for ScreenWest’s Bill Warnock Award; and her first one-act play, ‘Sleeping Dogs’, was shortlisted in the renowned Noosa One-Act Play Competition.
Therese lives in the south-west of Western Australia, to the envy of all her friends. She is currently working on more flash fiction and her first full-length play.
