Eva Wessell

Eva Maria Wessell (Gawlyta) was born in Grossraeschen, Germany, in 1939. She grew up in Salzgitter and entered the United States in 1962. After completing her Ph.D. in German in 1987, she taught for over twenty years in the School of Humanities at the University of California, Irvine, in Irvine, California. Her publications focus on the German novelist Thomas Mann.
