David doc Robertson

From the heart of Los Angeles, David doc Robertson spread himself in different directions personally and professionally, trying to hide the thing that made him stick out. He graduated from Crenshaw High School, earned a BA in English at UCLA, and an MA communication/journalism at the University of Southern California.

His talent as a writer will make reviewers wonder, where he has been all this time. He used that flair in the 1970s and 80s to win scholarships as a student and also in his latest non-fiction project, World War II at the Movies.

Fiction, however, is his preference and in She Got Some Kind of Wonderful Game, his characters combine the angst of a John Hughes story with the relevance of Spike Lee. In writing from a different gender perspective, he approached the story from the viewpoint of an interview with the main characters.

His focus portrays American family life and race is not a boundary, though it acted as such sparingly in his seven decades. While he acknowledges obvious cultural differences, his stories point out shared social commonalities such as, money problems, grief, self-esteem, love, etc.
