Kenneth Adderley

Dr. Kenneth R. Adderley(1940 - )

He was born the eldest son of a Baptist minister in Nassau Bahamas. He matriculated to college at the age of 16, then served for one year at the United Nations as a junior diplomat (International Relations) for the Uganda Mission to the U.N.

Returning to the Bahamas a few years later, he became involved in politics, and was invited to be an "Official Observer" at the Bahamas Independence Talks in London (1972). On the occasion of Bahamian Independence he was appointed to serve in the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. Upon resigning from government service, Adderley earned graduate degrees, and taught on the University level for more than 20 years before retiring as a History Professor and educational counselor.

Adderley has served as a past chairman of History & Historiography for the Mid-West Education Research Association (MWERA), a member of the Association of American Historians, Board member of the Waterloo Commission of Human Rights, former member of the Association of Christians and Jews, and as a former Christian Pastor to a few Jewish believers. Presently, Dr. A, as he likes to be called, serves as Vice-President of the Congress of Christian Education for the Eastern District Association of the Iowa Missionary & Educational Baptist State Convention. He was recently honored by the Human Rights Commission and awarded the James Weldon Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award for Community service.

Notwithstanding his many accomplishments, Dr. A's greatest desire today is for all people on the Planet to acknowledge that the various systems and functionality of human organs resulted not from random chance, but are the result of dynamic thought, supreme scientific knowledge, and the purposeful intelligent design of a Loving Creator God - no matter by whatever name He is revered.
