Caryl Ann Casbon

Caryl Ann Casbon is a West Coast poet, writer, speaker, interfaith minister and spiritual director. Her writing and work always involves an invitation to others to explore their own relationship with their inner lives and the ideas presented in her books, which is why The Everywhere Oracle includes, for book groups, a “User’s Guide”, with questions for exploration and dialogue in community.

For 13 years she taught in and lead programs for the Graduate Studies Department at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon through the CORE, education, and Courage to Teach programs. For the last 20 years she’s worked as a leader, mentor and program designer for Circles of Trust Retreat Programs as developed by Parker J Palmer and the Center for Courage & Renewal, and Project Coordinator for the Anamcara Program through the Sacred Art of Living Center, in Bend, Oregon.

She now lives in Santa Barbara, California, with her husband, Jay Casbon. She now eats avocado on toast for breakfast.
