Alexa Griffith Winton is an design historian and educator based in New York. Her research investigates theories of the modern interior as well as the relationship between craft, textiles and architecture in the mid-twentieth century, and has been supported by grants from the Graham Foundation, the New York State Council on the Arts, the Center for Craft, Creativity and Research, and the Beverly Willis Foundation. She is currently Manager of Content and Interpretation at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in New York City.
