Michael Enciso is a PhD student in theoretical physics at the University of California, Los Angeles. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Michael went on to study math and physics at Columbia University and obtained a Master of Science by Research in Mathematics from Oxford University, under the joint supervision of Sir Roger Penrose and Dr. Andrew Hodges. For over ten years, he has taught math and physics to students at a variety of levels, from 6th and 7th graders to advanced (3rd and 4th year) undergraduates at Oxford. His preprint "The Language of Nature" (pdf available here: http://truebeautyofmath.com/the-language-of-nature/) is still used as the textbook for the Oxbridge Summers' high school enrichment math and physics course, and his website www.truebeautyofmath.com is read by mathematicians and non-mathematicians alike, all over the world.
