June A Sharp

June Sharp has had many articles published, as well as poetry and a non-fiction book about her riding accident. which led her to The Power Of Genes. This novel, set just after the 1st World War, explains what happens to an optimistic girl who suffers a head injury, without help from her controlling and heartless father. She meets an Italian, who helps her through her troubles and they fall in love, going on to take up hotel management together. She also uses her love of painting to fight the symptoms of her brain injury, which means she becomes a saleable artist. We follow the years through to her complete recovery.

June also paints and the beautiful Scottish countryside in which she lives lends itself to creativity. Some of her other books are based on the old industries in her area and social stories told to her by old friends.
