Benjamin Kuttner

Benjamin (or Ben, if you prefer) lives in a charming little town an hour from Auckland, New Zealand—a place that couldn’t be further from asteroid cities, but one that undoubtedly inspires far-flung outposts scattered through imagined star systems. He shares life with his brilliant wife, their three adventurous kids, and a giant, orange cat named Apollo, who thinks he's the main character.

Ben’s love of science fiction runs deep. His grandfather, a World War Two veteran and chemical engineer, sparked his fascination with science and history, while his father, a doctor, nurtured his interest in biology and human potential.

When he's not writing, he's hanging out with his kids, reading, or chasing waves on a surfboard or kite. He dreams of solar sails drifting across the stars—but if reality doesn’t catch up, he’s happy to chart the course in his stories.
