Sharon Shymansky Roberts

I am a sixty-something woman just coming out of the closet where would-be authors live. Fear of failure and rejection have kept me hidden all these years, but a wonderful group of women at my church and an amazing group of talented authors on the Grand Strand helped bring me into the light! I am a shining example that you are never too old to follow your dreams! As the commercial says, "Just do it!"

Born in Washington, DC, I spent most of my younger years in Prince Georges County, but I went away to college and, in the interim, met a wonderful man from a small island in Southern Maryland. Eventually, we married and raised three sons on that island that I still call the home of my heart. Though God called him home after only 26 years of marriage, he and God conspired to bring a second man into my life. We have been married 15 years. Two years ago we retired and moved to Pawleys Island, SC. There's just something about island life that gets to me!

Now, my husband, Dan, our two aussie doodles Cody and Cassie, and our love bird Piper all live peacefully in this idyllic place near the surf and sand. It is here I have found my voice, and here I have gotten the courage to write for Him, hoping in some small way my words touch someone and help them on their journey through life.

Update 9/22/2018 Ok, first there are now three dogs in the household. If you check out the new photos I added, you will see our Cavalier King Charles, Cadee. While that's important, I am most excited about the soon to be released new book, The Journey Continues. If you haven't read my first one yet, please consider doing that now, as the second one continues the journey, hence the title! That took a lot of thought! As the first one did, you will continue to walk in faith with me, hoping that my walk is your walk, and that you come to understand that God is with you every moment of every day. He is waiting to hear from you in praise, in thanksgiving, and in your need. Talk to Him!
