I am a California native with a Bohemian heritage. I grew up on the move with a true understanding of what it means to travel light. In 1994, I started my journey to San Diego with only the things that would fit in my small SUV. This move was different than all of those that came before, my mom wasn’t going. With courage and excitement, my new adventure unfolded before me.

San Diego is beautiful with its beaches and mountains and the choice of a fast pace or the serenity of open spaces. While there are countless options for filling one’s time, I found myself drawn to the foothills. When I met the love of my life and learned that he feels the same pull, the blue skies became brighter and the cool breezes even more invigorating.

Together we found Ramona and for the first time we feel our roots taking hold. The peace and harmony that is ever present in this small community has welcomed us with open arms and the drive to keep moving rests quietly in our past.

With this new and wonderful sense of belonging, I found the need to write. The beauty of Ramona fills the pages of Charlee’s Cards and I hope that you will enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
