Elsie Guerrero is a children's book author of Promote Inclusion Books. She writes children’s books about children with disabilities and social issues to bring awareness about the topic and promote inclusion. Within eight years, she has published over fourteen books and plans to publish more soon to eliminate discrimination, bullying, and any misconception society may have about children who have a disability, mental health, and/or social issues. Most of the books were inspired by real children and real-life situations.
She partnered with Assemblymember Cristina Garcia to publish Bringing Back History: The Untold Story about the Mexican Repartition, a story based on AB 146 and the students at Bell Gardens Elementary School. She also worked with children to write their stories.
Elsie has hosted two book tours prior to the pandemic and has read to children all over the United States. Some of the places she hosted her book tour were California, Texas, Kentucky, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. As much profits as possible from the profits of the books are given scholarships for Latinos and disabled youth.
She has been featured on Telemundo, NBC Latino, and Newsweek Mexico. Elsie was also featured in the international movement, Today’s Inspired Latina. As of 2021, her best-selling book is How Emily and Eli Became Friends, a story about autism. Elsie has also donated books to detained children at the Mexican border and to children in Jamaica. In 2020, Elsie was featured as a 2020 Latina Influence of the Year with the Hispanic Lifestyle Magazine.
