Helene Unger

Helene Unger, retired Professional Home Economist, educator, researcher and writer shares her favorite recipes. Each book is an assortment of recipes from European, German-Russian Mennonite, and North American traditions.

Helene loves to bake and has been collecting and testing “best” recipes since she was 12 years old, writing them down to preserve and share her favourites with friends and family. Heirloom recipes, lightly updated, are also included.

The recipes have detailed, easy to follow directions for both the novice and the experienced cook and baker. “How to” and “secret” baking tips are also included. All recipes have been tested until approved by her friends, family, students and husband.
