Marco Manfredi

Marco Manfredi MD, pediatrician and gastroenterologist, is now Chief of Pediatrics at Azienda USL-IRCCS of Reggio Emilia, Sant'Anna Hospital, Castelnovo ne' Monti, Italy. He carried out his education at Parma University, Italy where completed his PhD in Pediatric Gastroenterology in 2004. He worked one year (2017-2018) as family pediatrician at Azienda USL of Reggio Emilia, Correggio District. From 2013 to 2017, Dr. Manfredi was Chief of Pediatric Emergency and Assistant Manager in Pediatric Gastroenterology at “Pietro Barilla” Children's Hospital in Parma, Italy. From 2002 to 2012 he was Assistant Pediatrician at Castelnovo ne'Monti Hospital (Azienda USL of Reggio Emilia, Italy). From 2000 to 2002 he was Assistant Pediatrician at Iseo's Hospital (ASST Franciacorta, Brescia, Italy). Dr Manfredi was adjunct professor of Pediatrics at Parma University from 2015 to 2017. His main fields of interests are Helicobacter pylori infection, coeliac disease, gastrointestinal infectious diseases, functional gastrointestinal diseases, and Probiotics. Dr Manfredi published more than 95 papers, included chapters of textbooks. He is chief editor of four scientific textbooks: “Helicobacter pylori infection”, “Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in Children”, “Probiotics in Children”, and “Racecadotril: an effective anti-diarrheal drug” published by Nova Science Publishers, New York, USA. He was guest speaker in several international conferences around the world. He is serving as editorial board member of several reputed journal like “Clinical Microbiology: open access” and “Frontiers in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology” and expert Reviewer for journals like BMC Gastroenterology, Saudi Journal of Gastroenterology, BMC Case Reports. He is a member of Italian Society of Pediatrics and Italian Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.
