Martha Pelc

Martha Pelc grew up listening to the stories that her grandfather and father told about her family that settled along the misty mountain ridges of North Carolina and Tennessee. Her family came from a long line of circuit ministers and midwives that carved out a living during a very difficult time in history. There were plenty of 'angels' in this family, along with more than a fair share of 'devils'. The stories she listened to at the feet of her grandparents, have instilled a deep passion to learn more about her ancestry and all the people that came before her. Seeking out the past and the final resting places of her family has filled her life for many years now. Since storytelling runs so deep in her blood, she found out that carrying on the rich tradition was inevitable.
