Making books makes me happy. And I hope my books might inspire happiness in others, and some laughter, and some thought.

The first photo is me on Schoodic Peninsula, Maine, shot by my friend Rick Hauck in 2013. The second photo is of myself and long-time climbing partner Scott on our final day of the Haute Route ski tour in 2011, on our way down the fantastical descent from Tête Blanche to Zermatt.

The last photo is my second book, Red Boots and Assorted Things. The paintings of Victoria Usova are the heart and soul of this book.

I'll release another book later in 2016 with Singapore illustrator Jade Fang. The only thing more amazing than Jade's art is her imagination!

Maybe you've heard that old song from Thee [sic] Headcoats, 'I Wasn't Made For This World.' That's my song. Artists sort of try to make a better world. Or something. Bless them all. Me too, if I'm one.
