Joffre McClung

Joffre is a Spiritual Growth Author, an award-winning filmmaker, and the host of a monthly Podcast, Spiritual CommonSense on HealthyLife. Reaching approximately 410,000 listeners and consistently ranking among the network’s Top 10 programs, her work encourages audiences to embrace practical spirituality, authentic love, and everyday wisdom that transforms lives.

Her first book, How Learning to Say Goodbye Taught Me How to Live, was inspired by the profound journey of walking beside her best friend through a courageous battle with breast cancer. What began as a deeply personal exploration of grief became a testament to resilience, spiritual awakening, and the enduring power of love.

Before becoming an author, Joffre built a diverse career in the arts and media. She spent most of her adult life in New York City as a theatre actress and producer, appearing in and producing several Off-Broadway plays. An avid student of spiritual literature and techniques since the early 1980s, she taught herself filmmaking and founded Sweet Moon Pictures Production Company back in the 1990’s. She wrote, produced, and directed two independent films with spiritual themes or overtones: Out of the Blue (1995) and Best Wishes (2002; winner of the “Spirit of the West Award”). Before moving back to Texas to care for her dying mother, she worked as a senior producer and director for a media broadcast Production Company in New York City for over fifteen years.

Joffre’s second book, The Heart of the Matter (A Workbook and Guide to Finding Your Way Back to Self-love), grew from her own journey of healing old wounds, challenging long-held beliefs, and discovering authentic self-love. After reading her first book, readers asked her how she found her new sense of self-love. Unsure how she found it, she embarked on a deeper search that ultimately revealed what she believes are the three essential components of authentic self-love. The Heart of the Matter shares that journey through practical exercises, spiritual insight, and transformative guidance designed to help readers reconnect with their truest selves.

She is currently writing her third book, Inspiration from My Higher Self, inspired by a recurring segment on her podcast. Through stories of unexpected grace, resilience, and everyday miracles, the book explores how inspiration often appears in life's quietest moments, encouraging readers to recognize the signs that can lead them toward hope, healing, and lasting personal transformation.

Across her books, films, and podcast, Joffre McClung's work is guided by a single mission: helping people discover the freedom and joy that comes from loving oneself.
