J Hopkin

J Hopkin is a painter by trade, an investor by heart, and an author by dreams. And no, the J doesn’t stand for anything. It’s his whole first name, taken from his grandfather’s middle name. He grew up in Utah in the ’80s, raised by a single mom who worked hard just to keep the family afloat. Money was always tight, and he promised himself he’d never live that way. A shy kid with few friends, J learned early that the well-worn path doesn’t always lead to freedom. Along the way, he found personal finance classics like Rich Dad Poor Dad and The Richest Man in Babylon and fell in love with how they taught money through stories. As a working tradesman, he built his wealth the practical way, one steady choice at a time. J writes about finances the way he learned them, plainly and practically, with everyday people at the heart of every lesson. When he isn’t working or writing, you’ll find him on his two-stroke Kawasaki in the middle of the desert, where money has no meaning and every stress in life simply disappears.
