Janet Ellis

Born on the borders of Berkshire with Buckinghamshire, Janet has spent most of her life living and working in these two counties. Before having a family, Janet worked for a firm of Accountants followed by the position of Management Account for an American company. With a specific interest in taxation and employment law, when Janet returned to work she developed these skills and undertook the role of Payroll and Human Resources Manager.

Through their holidays in Greece, Janet & her husband developed a passion for the country and its islands; spending up to five weeks a year appreciating walks through the unspoilt countryside and villages, as well as embracing the relaxed Greek lifestyle. A desire to follow the Greek way of life, whilst still living in England, resulted in a move away from the south to a small fishing village on the coast of Norfolk. They now enjoy the peaceful lifestyle they sought.

Reflecting their interest in Greece, between 2002 and 2006, Janet wrote articles, recipes and book reviews for the Greek publication Greek-o-file. Since moving to Norfolk in 2008, she has compiled her Greek recipes and travelogues within the pages of her book, ‘The 3R’s – Recipes, Reflections and Reminiscences’, following on with a short story titled ‘Timotheus, Pserimos Puss’, before embarking on her first novel ‘On the Verge’ which is set on a small Greek island. Janet's latest publication is a collection of short and not so short stories titled, 'Truths and Lies'. Through the introduction of various characters, the stories link together, providing the reader with a continuous tale.
