Bernadette Rose Smith writes, makes art, and tells stories. Combining all three elements, in her visual storytelling projects, ranks high among her passions. She loves to share the treasures found when one dives deep into any aspect of the creative realm.

Diagnosed with breast cancer, just three months after cancer took her husband, Bernadette intuitively knew surviving would not be enough. Her creativity became a key component in her process for healing through the loss these life events ushered in. Today, she strives to thrive while expanding the creative legacy she shared with him.

She’s written two books in the self-help category. Her blog, Bernadette's Messy Musings, is where you’ll find her art, words, and whatever else she believes blog-worthy.

She lives outside of Atlanta with her kitties: Theo, Mikey, and CasPurr - with her beloved as close as a whisper.

The Luminous Slide is her first novel.
