Paulette Boudreaux, is a Mississippi native living in California. Her debut novel, Mulberry, set in an imaginary town in her native state, is the winner of the Lee Smith Novel Prize, a finalist for the Crook's Corner Book Prize 2017, a Silver Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY) for Best Southern Fiction 2016, and a Bronze IPPY for Best Cover Design.
Paulette has enjoyed the excitement that has come with publishing her first novel--the travel to promote it, the generous readers who have read and praised her book. Now she is hard at work on her next novel, and back to the business of instilling affection for writing and the written word in the students she teaches at the college where she is on the English faculty.
She hopes you are as moved by her debut novel, Mulberry, as she is moved when she reads the work of her favorite authors. She is always gratified to discover new writers to add to her list of favorites. Perhaps you will feel the same about her work.
Paulette has a MFA from Mills College and a BA From Northeastern University.
